Do you also love to watch series on Netflix? Because in today’s blog post I’ll share my 7 favourite tv shows and tell you a little bit about them. And maybe you can get inspired by my list. Autumn is coming so it can always be useful to add some new series to your list. Netflix has some bangers when it comes to tv shows and they only keep getting better.
If I’m honest, I didn’t think Netflix was necessary for a long time. But since I switched a year ago there hasn’t been a week that Netflix hasn’t been on. There are so many genres and their offer is infinite. So it’s about time to share my favourites with you. Enjoy reading!
1. You
YOU is the first series I started watching and I was immediately addicted. The series tells the story of Joe Goldberg, an obsessive yet brilliant New Yorker, who exploits today’s technology to win the heart of Beck. Joe transforms himself from stalker to boyfriend while doing whatever it takes to eliminate all obstacles standing in his way.
Get ready for the wildest stalker story ride of your life. There are two seasons and the second season was – dare I say it – even better than the first. Joe Goldberg, I’m obsessed with YOU.
2. The Crown
The Crown traces the life of Queen Elizabeth II from her wedding in 1947, to Philip Mountbatten, until the early 21st century. It’s such a good show and it only gets better episosde by episode and season by season. I can’t wait for season 4, I’m so curious!
The British royal family is so fascinating and I have learnt a lot about their history and their life behind the closed doors of Buckingham Palace.
3. Down to Earth with Zac Efron
This is the tv show I most recently watched on Netflix. In this travel show, actor Zac Efron journeys around the world with wellness expert Darin Olien in search of healthy, sustainable ways to live. It was really interesting and such an eye opener. Hopefully we can all learn something from this show and take it with us to the future.
4. Cheer
Cheers is also a docuseries I really love! You maybe think to know everything about chearleading, but there’s so much more to the sport than stereotypes and teen movies suggest. It changed my mind and left me stunned by the athletic talent of the diverse group of young adults being thrown in the air. A highly recommended show!
5. Bodyguard
Set in and around the corridors of power, Bodyguard tells the story of David Budd, a war veteran now working as a Specialist Protection Officer for London’s Metropolitan Police Service. When he is assigned to protect the ambitious Home Secretary Julia Montague, David finds himself torn between his duty and his beliefs. I accidently binged this show, because the story is that good! Richard Madden did a great job and I’m sure this series will make you fall in love with him. He’s a great actor!
6. The Fall
The psychological thriller series The Fall, is about Paul Spector. He appears to be a good housefather, but also stalks and murders young women. Detective Stella Gibson goes in search of the perpetrator. An exciting and constructive series that immediately convinced me to keep watching. The 3rd season was not as good as the previous ones, but the series is still one of my all time favourites! Probably because Jamie Dornan plays one of the leading roles (haha).
7. The Stranger
What if a stranger exposes all your deepest secrets? That’s what The Stranger is all about. The story of this tv show is based on the novel by Harlan Coben. The Stranger forces us to confront a question we all fear – how well do we really know the people closest to us? This is also a tv show I binged in a couple of days. The story line is amazing!! I’m secretly hoping for a second season.
I think I have a thing for British thriller series… What’s your favourite tv show and why? I’m happy to add all recommendations to my list!
Lots of love,
Sofie ♡
