Today’s blog post is about one of my favourite topics: fashion. And if you’ve looked at your closet and felt like you are ready for a shopping spree, then will this be the best way to get inspired. 2020 is all about personal styling and collecting classic pieces. Get ready to update your wardrobe with some of the most populair fashion trends of this moment.
1. The business suit
If there’s one item I can’t wait for to get, it’s a colourful suit for women. They’re available in different prints, florals, smart styles and so on. With a pair of sneakers and a plain shirt, you’re ready to go. Don’t you know where to score yours? Take a look at ASOS, ZARA and Mango. They offer a great range of different suits and styles.
2. The utility dress and jumpsuit
This trend proves that function and style can perfectly go hand in hand. It was once initiated as “work outfits with practical details” but lately, the utility style has been transformed into a true trend on it’s own. Pockets, zippers and technical fabrics make your outfit extremely practical. In conlusion? Your clothes should make your daily life easier. Outfit inspo can you find on Pinterest. The best shops to score your utility pieces? I would suggest Boohoo, Missguided and Weekday.
3. Mint green
Trendwatchers not only see green as a trend colour this year, but predict that green will remain important in the coming years. Did you know that green radiates hope and optimism? Always combine a mint green item with basics like white, black or beige. This way, the green colour will stand out and will it be the highlight of your outfit. I’ve already scored a mint green sweater but I can’t wait to add some more pieces of this beautiful pastel colour.
4. Lilac
The ultimate colour of this spring is with no doubt lilac. A monochrome outfit in purple immediately exudes luxury. And while other pastel shades don’t really flatter some skin types, lilac suits just about everyone. Neutral colours such as white, ecru, beige, light grey and denim are a perfect match with lilac. Do you already have lilac pieces in your wardrobe?
5. The satin dress and top
Scrolling through my Instagram feed, I see a lot of beautiful outfits passing by, but lately I’ve seen a certain fabric coming back very often: satin. A Satin item gives your outfit a mega upgrade in no time. The webshops NA-KD, ASOS and PrettyLittleThing have lots of satin items such as dresses, blouses, skirts…
The fashion trends of 2020 are great and you can go in any direction. Let me know in the comments what your favourite spring or summer trend is! At least for fashion will it be a wonderful year 😉
Lots of love,
Sofie ♡
