How to find inspiration as a beginner blogger

I think most of you would agree with me when I say that coming up with blog post ideas is one of the hardest parts of being a blogger. At least, for me it is. Sometimes I’ve a hundred good ideas and sometimes I can’t even come up with one. I’ve been blogging for almost three years now and I thought about sharing some of my tips and tricks with you.

5 tips

1. Turn an infographic or slideshow into a blog post
Head over to Pinterest, search for interesting infographics and you’ll see that loads will appear. Why not find one about your blog category? You can use it to inspire your readers and you’ve an idea for a great blog post.

2. Write about inspirational podcasts you listen to
We all want to learn new things and most original ideas have gone. But if you take notes from inspirational, interesting podcasts or online courses you can turn those into brand new content. While transforming your notes to a blog post you can also try to help your audience. For example, take your own experiences and put them into life lessons or tips.

3. Share your favourite bloggers (or another list)
When you’re creating a blog, I’m sure you’ll follow some popular bloggers you’re looking up to. So, why not share them with your audience? And of course can you create different kinds of lists. But sharing your favourites is never a bad blog post idea. Your readers will be grateful en won’t stop following you. They even get to know you better.

4. Share your travel adventures
Ah, the itinerary post is a favourite headline for all bloggers – and it works. This allows you to share your own experience while helping craft an itinerary for other travellers who may be heading to the same destination. Another great travel blog post idea is a “where to stay” article. This kind of post allows you to do a review of a hotel or showcase different options for different styles and budgets.

5. Write a FAQs post
Go to one of your social media accounts and organise a Q&A with your followers. Let them ask you questions about anything. You can also divide the answers in categories. For exaple: fashion questions, travel questions, music questions and so on. The options are endless.

To end this blog post, I want to tell you that you should only blog about things that are of interest to you. Try for something a little unique that isn’t in too much of a broad niche to start with. If you do what you love, you’ll love what you do.

Lots of love,
Sofie ♡
